“We hired Last Stop for our move from Lacombe to Cochrane. The estimate provided was accurate with our move coming in under the estimate, The move itself went very well. A team of 5 movers arrived on time and worked hard to get the job done quickly. The delivery went well with the team making sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. The only issue we had was a lack of communication as to when the team would arrive to deliver. Otherwise we are completely satisfied before leaving.”

“Moving is one of the most stressful experiences, but Last Stop Moving made it so much easier. My movers, Dave and Chol, were absolutely fantastic. They worked incredibly hard all day, and despite the physically demanding work, they remained friendly, positive, and professional from start to finish. It's not easy to maintain such a pleasant attitude while doing such tough work, and I really appreciated how respectful and courteous they were throughout the move. I also want to recognize Donte in customer service. He went above and beyond to coordinate a pickup time that fit perfectly with my apartment move-out schedule, allowing the cleaners to arrive right after the movers finished. That coordination made a huge difference and took a lot of stress off my shoulders. Donte even provided me with extra moving boxes, which was another thoughtful gesture that really helped. From beginning to end, the entire team was organized, accommodating, and genuinely cared about providing great service. I highly recommend Last Stop Moving to anyone looking for a reliable and professional moving company in Edmonton. Thank you, Dave, Chol, Donte, and the whole team for making my move such a positive experience!”

“Sami, Ezra, Brendan, Germay, Gindi were super! We had stuff going to the new location, some in storage and some moved from basement to garage. Sami confirmed where everything goes as soon as they arrived. No wasting. The crew assessed the area, placed floor mats and took care wrapping everything. They made sure the correct items were moved and placed at the right spot. I appreciate that they asked when they were unsure. Great service! Will definitely use them again!”

Beaumont is the closest city on this list to our yard — straight south off 50 Street, with Highway 625 running along its north edge. It became a city in January 2019 and had 20,888 residents at the 2021 census, but it was founded in 1895 by French-Canadian colonists and it has worked hard to keep that identity: it is one of the only officially bilingual municipalities in Alberta, the street and neighbourhood names are French, and the design guidelines push the steep gable roofs you see all over town. The name comes from the "beautiful hill" that St. Vital Church has sat on since 1919 — it is the landmark everybody navigates by, and the older streets around it are correspondingly mature and tight. Then there is the other Beaumont: Ruisseau, Élan, Beaumont Lakes and Dansereau Meadows are new builds, pond-backing lots, and streets that were bare dirt not long ago. We ask which one you are in before we pick the truck.

Our own crews and trucks — serving Beaumont and the wider Edmonton metro.

Beaumont is Alberta’s French corner of the Edmonton metro, and it is one of the shortest, easiest runs we make — which is why we do so many of them.

Two Beaumonts, two different moving days

Beaumont runs on the T4X postal prefix, and the practical divide is the hill.

The original town, around St. Vital Church and Centre-Ville. The church has been on the crest since 1919 and the town grew outward from it, which means the streets closest in are the oldest: narrower pavement, mature trees, single-width driveways, and limited frontage for a five-ton. This is completely normal work for us — we just size the truck to the street and plan the carry instead of pretending we can nose into a 1950s driveway.

The newer rings. Ruisseau, Élan, Beaumont Lakes, Dansereau Meadows, Citadel Ridge, Eaglemont Heights. Wide roads, deep lots, pond-backing sites, and in the actively-building areas, fresh sod and unfinished lanes. Longer curb-to-door walks, easier truck access — as long as contractor traffic has not taken the frontage first.

The estate side. Coloniale Estates, Triomphe Estates, Montrose Estates, Four Season Estates. Bigger homes, bigger inventories, and often more genuinely fragile pieces than an average move. These are the jobs where full pad-wrapping earns its keep.

Moving between Beaumont and Edmonton

This is the run we make most in Beaumont, in both directions, and it is short. 50 Street connects Beaumont straight into south Edmonton, and Highway 625 runs along the north side of town toward the QE2 and the airport. Because it is genuinely local for us, Beaumont prices as a local move — no out-of-town surcharge for crossing a municipal boundary that takes two minutes to cross.

Families moving out of south Edmonton for a bigger yard, and Beaumont residents moving into the city for work or a shorter commute, are the two most common versions of this job.

Getting around town on move day

Beaumont is compact and well-served by parkland — over 84 hectares of it, plus more than 33 km of paved trails winding between neighbourhoods, Four Seasons Park with its trout pond and Don Sparrow Lake, and the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre on 50 Street. That trail network is lovely to live beside and occasionally awkward to move beside: some newer homes back onto pathways rather than lanes, so the only truck access is the front, and we plan the load accordingly.

Long-distance moves from Beaumont

Highway 625 puts the QE2 within minutes, which makes Beaumont an easy origin for long-distance work. We run jobs from here to Calgary and Red Deer, into BC — the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland — and east to Saskatchewan and Manitoba. One written estimate, our own crew doing the loading, one point of contact for the whole move.

What every Beaumont job includes

  • A written upfront estimate you approve before we load, typically within about 4% of the final invoice when you’re packed and ready.
  • Everything pad-wrapped: furniture, appliances, the awkward pieces.
  • Trained, uniformed, insured crews in our own trucks.
  • Weekend and month-end dates, when most possessions here actually close.

Call (587) 602-4858 or request a quote above. Tell us your neighbourhood and your dates and we will give you a real number for the job in front of us.

Good to know

Moving in Beaumont — FAQs

How far is Beaumont from your yard?

It is one of our shortest runs — Beaumont sits immediately south of Edmonton off 50 Street and Highway 625. No travel surcharge, same local rates, same written upfront estimate.

Can you move us out of the older streets around St. Vital Church?

Yes. The original townsite on the hill has narrower streets, mature trees, and limited frontage, so we match the truck to the street and plan the carry rather than assuming we can back to the door.

Do you move in the newer communities like Ruisseau, Élan, or Beaumont Lakes?

Often. New-build areas are easy to work when we know what to expect — tell us whether the driveway and lane are finished and whether the sod is fresh, and we will plan truck placement so nothing gets rutted.

Can you move us from Beaumont to Calgary or out of province?

Yes. Beaumont is minutes from the QE2, so long-distance runs to Calgary, BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are straightforward. Our own crew loads and unloads — no broker handoff.
